Attendees can experience one of the most popular historic sites in the United States as visitors to the Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, FL. Attendees will enjoy seeing Edison and Ford’s historic winter homes, the Edison Botanical Research Lab, and the 15,000 square foot Edison Ford Museum on more than 20 acres of botanic gardens. The Inside-the-Homes tour takes attendees beyond the barriers for a behind the scenes look at the winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. The tour focuses on Edison and Ford’s time in Fort Myers, and their shared history and friendship. There are eleven historic structures on the property with several listed on the National Register of Historic Places in America.
Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to see several antique automobiles as well as visit Edison’s botanical laboratory, a National Historic Chemical Landmark.
Each major historic structure has ADA accessibility, and visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable summer attire, closed toe shoes, sunscreen, and bring or purchase water. Flash photography is allowed. The Edison and Ford Winter Estates does not permit smoking on the property.

Transportation to this event is included in the registration cost for early, regular, and student attendees only. Partners who purchase an event ticket are responsible for their own transportation to Revs Institute, where they will join the shuttle for this event. Return shuttle transportation will be provided for attendees and partners after this event concludes returning all to the Hyatt House.
Shuttles depart from Revs Institute at 11 a.m. The bus arrives at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates at approximately 12 p.m., with lunch starting upon arrival. After the luncheon and tours of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, the shuttles will depart at approximately 3 p.m.
